    Step-by-step guide

    1. Go to Operations > Inventory > Department Promotion.

    1. Click the New button to start a new promotion.

    1. Highlight a department, for example Tableware, then enter a percentage value at Percent Off (in this case 20). Choose a Start From and End After date for the promotion. You can restrict the promotion to members only by selecting a membership group from Members Only List (for example, VIP).

    1. Click on Save and then Quit to finish. Now every item that belongs to the Tableware Department will have a 20% discount to VIP members if sold between the set dates.
